What is Give A Child The Universe?


You can pledge to “Give a child the Universe” and allow children and teens nationwide to see A
WRINKLE IN TIME for free by donating to Color of Change, who are partnered with AMC Theatres®.

What will donating $10 or more do?


AMC Theatres® are providing a cinema ticket for every $10 donated, allowing children and teens
nationwide to see A WRINKLE IN TIME for free.

When does the “Give a Child The Universe” start and end?


Starting today throughout the month of March, Give A Child The Universe encourages individual and
group benefactors to purchase and donate tickets to the movie, enabling underprivileged children to
see A WRINKLE IN TIME at a matinee showing at a local AMC Theatres location beginning March 9.
Using the donations, Color of Change will distribute tickets to a host of local partners, schools and
community-based organizations, allowing children to enjoy this highly anticipated film about
empowerment and family on opening day.

What will people see in the movie?


A WRINKLE IN TIME is a timeless literary classic that has endured for generations since its first publication by author Madeline L’Engle in 1963. The story encourages children from all backgrounds and walks of life to identify with and draw inspiration from the heroine Meg Murray.

What is A Wrinkle In Time?


A WRINKLE IN TIME, a film adaptation of the classic novel by author Madeleine L’Engle, opens in movie theatres nationwide March 9, and stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Storm Reid, who plays the books central heroine, Meg Murry.

What is Color of Change?

From SELMA to 13TH to A WRINKLE IN TIME, Ava DuVernay has set out to change the rules in Hollywood for people of color and women. By casting Storm Reid – a Black teenage girl – as the heroine at the center of this story, young people of color will see someone like them embracing their individuality and strength to bring light to the world. We are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with AMC to ensure as many people as possible see this empowering film.
